We are pleased to welcome guests back to the galleries! Starting June 1, 2020 (members) and June 2 (general public), we welcome guests to visit the National WWI Museum and Memorial. Your visit will be different, so we encourage you to learn about the measures in place to make your experience at America’s official WWI Museum and Memorial as safe as possible.

The National WWI Museum and Memorial began collecting directly after the First World War in 1920 and has amassed the most comprehensive Great War collection in the world. 100 Years of Collecting provides a window into this collection of incredibly diverse objects and documents.

The National WWI Museum and Memorial presents the seventh annual Taps at the Tower each evening at sunset (8:45 p.m.) from Sunday, June 21 – Saturday, June 27, 2020. People are invited to come and use the grounds each evening, have a picnic, play games and enjoy the outdoors. At sunset, people will gather at the Liberty Memorial Tower to experience Taps being played during a brief, moving ceremony.
