The Gift of Perspective: An Evening with Lindsey Roy

Wednesday, Feb. 7 - 6:30 p.m. Auditorium and Online

At age 31, Lindsey Roy was named vice president at Hallmark Cards, one of the youngest in the company’s 100-year-plus history. Five years later, a boating accident nearly killed her and did abruptly transform her life. Left with an amputated left leg and severe limb injuries, and facing a long and difficult recovery ahead, she was determined not just to heal, but to emerge stronger.

Eight years post-accident, fully adapted to her circumstances and genuinely thriving, Lindsey confronted the unexpected again: she was diagnosed with a rare and progressive disease that destroyed the blood vessels in her lungs, requiring a double-lung transplant. This profound setback challenged her to actively shift her worldview to find the hidden advantages of her situation and new depths of resilience in herself.

Join us for an unforgettable evening as Lindsey Roy – author, TEDx Speaker and Exhibition Honorary Chair for Bespoke Bodies – imparts these hard-won lessons on adaptation, perseverance, and innovation from her incredible life experience. Book signing to follow the lecture. Hosted in conjunction with the exhibition Bespoke Bodies.
