Understand the Great War through Song
Sunday, May 1 - 2 p.m. Auditorium

Proud and True is a concert of song and visual imagery, curated by the Kansas State University vocal music students of Dr. Bryan Pinkall. The concert seeks to bring a modern understanding of the far-reaching effects of the First World War on artists, soldiers and the men and women who were coming of age in a time of great turmoil. Works include those composed by fallen soldiers and artists, along with songs and arias that resonate with issues of today: a worldwide pandemic, nationalism, youth and love, both lost and found. The concert is approximately 40 minutes long and is free to the public; visual imagery will be appropriate for all ages.
