With this Focused Inquiry, students will build an argument to answer the compelling question, “How should the United States remember those who have served?” Through the supporting question, students will investigate a wide variety of primary and secondary resources they can use to build their evidence-based argument. The inquiry examines war memorialization across different time periods of American history.
