Teachers, join us for a one-hour professional development session following the scholar's lecture to discuss the application of the content into K-12 classrooms.
In this session, we will explore some other stories of African Americans during the Great War, discuss what ideas were sparked by Harris's lecture, and share classroom-ready resources already available on the topic from the Museum and Memorial. The session will be informal, with time to directly chat with other educators for brainstorming and ideation. All participants will be provided with a certificate of completion for one hour of Professional Development.
