2025 History Crawl: Scarritt Renaissance

Saturday, Sept. 20, 2025 | 8:30-11:30 a.m. Museum of Kansas City

History winds around every corner of the Scarritt Renaissance Neighborhood in Kansas City, Missouri (an area roughly defined between the Cliff Drive Scenic Byway and Independence Avenue, and Chestnut Avenue and Jackson Avenue through to Elmwood Avenue) – home to over 150 historic properties, two National Register Historic Districts and nearly 7,000 residents.

In this history crawl walking tour, attendees will explore early 20th century Kansas City, viewing several landmarks and houses of the era and learning about the notable figures who resided and continue to live in the neighborhood.

About the tour

Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m. at the front entrance of the Museum of Kansas City. Participants will get their audio devices and enjoy small bites and beverages.
