The Museum and Memorial is looking for members of scouting organizations to lay 441 wreaths at the 2026 Memorial Day ceremony – one for each of the 441 Kansas City residents who died serving our country in the Great War.

NOTE ON PARKING
Due to set-up for the upcoming FIFA World Cup Fan Festival, there will be EXTREMELY LIMITED PARKING available on the grounds on Memorial Day. Please plan to take your scouts on an adventure through Kansas City – park near the Streetcar line and take the KC Streetcar to the WWI Museum & Memorial stop.
Or arrive via city bus with RideKC, which also offers park-and-ride options.
