Film Friday: Testament of Youth

Friday, August 11, 6:30 p.m.

Join us for a screening of the 2014 film adaptation of the World War I classic, Testament of Youth. At the outbreak of World War I, real life heroine Vera Brittain abandoned her studies to become a nurse, where she would serve on the Western Front, Britain and Malta. Brittain would later become a famed writer and pacifist, and recount her harrowing experiences in her 1933 autobiography, which this movie poignantly and unflinchingly captures. Starring Academy Award-winner Alicia Vikander and Kit Harington from Game of Thrones. Sponsored by the Capitol Federal Foundation. FREE with RSVP | J.C. Nichols Auditorium
