Information needed includes: name of donor, name of stock, number of shares, market value, ticker symbol, cost basis and donor intent/restrictions.

Charitable IRA Distribution
The Charitable IRA Distribution provisions allow individuals who have reached age 70 ½ to donate up to $100,000 (or $200,000 per married couple) to charitable organizations directly (a direct contribution) from their Individual Retirement Account (IRA) without including the amount of the distribution as part of the gross/taxable income. You should confer with your tax advisor to get more information if you may wish to take advantage of this provision and make a gift to the Museum before the end of the year.
